1:1 Specialist Lessons (1 hour)

The specialist dyslexia lessons incorporate many parts, which may be adapted to suit the needs of each learner. Typically a session will include, phonological awareness, alphabet work, phonic units, whole word reading and spelling, reading and writing. 

 

I provide support to learners with dyslexia, which helps them identify and celebrate their strengths. I aim to encourage a life-long love of learning. In our sessions I ensure learners enjoy learning, making everything engaging and relevant to their interests and needs. In our sessions I encourage pupils to grow in confidence and self-esteem. 

 

Lessons are systematic, multisensory and active. Learning is delivered in different ways, through games, use of ICT, active learning, kinesthetic, visual and auditory channels. Sessions are adapted to suit the learning style of the pupil, I do not have a one size fits all approach. I practice metacognition with the learner teaching them how to reflect and evaluate their learning, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps.

You have the flexibility to choose between quiet classroom lessons at my home for local students, or high-quality, multisensory, fun, and interactive online lessons for students throughout the UK or internationally.
